Karen is an investor and entrepreneur with a data driven approach to analyzing shifts in market trends. She is a Venture Partner at Elizabeth Street Ventures and an active advisor to mission driven startup entrepreneurs. Over the last decade, she focused on analyzing consumer behavior shifts by measuring patterns in social media engagement, online searches and e-commerce shopping data. Her expertise is at the nexus of nextgen commerce, consumer/beauty/wellness, SaaS and marketplaces. Previously, Karen co-founded and scaled a predictive analytics software start up with industry leading clients (e.g., Target, Ulta, Stitchfix, Revolve, Estee Lauder Companies, Zappos, Jet and more) and was a Google Machine Learning Competition Finalist. Her career started out at Goldman Sachs TMT investment banking followed by experience in corporate strategy at a $15 billion retailer and consumer growth equity investing.
Karen holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from UCLA where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her research at Harvard included studies in multi-channel retailing, luxury diffusion brands and supply chain innovation for emerging brands.
